   27/28 OCT 2004 - Lunar Eclipse

   The West Point Astronomy Club has a lunar eclipse party on the plain. It was a success until the clouds rolled in right about 5 minutes before totality.

30 May 04 - Humorum Area.

This image  is a collage of two images taken with 3x Barlow. There were thin clouds going by.

This area has two interesting features. The crater Dopplemayer, to the south and Gassendi with its large central mountain to the north.

1May04 - Copernicus area.

 

This is a fascinating area that contains several interesting features, not the least of which is Copernicus crater itself, an archetypal crater with bright rays all around.
